IT IS ANNUAL COASTAL CLEANUP TIME! JOIN THE CREW ON 18 SEPTEMBER

The 23rd annual Coastal Cleanup is scheduled for Saturday, September 18, 2010. We plan to stage a dumpster at the boat ramp to facilitate off loading from boats and vehicles directly to the container. The actual cleanup can be done earlier for anyone who finds that more convenient. The cleanup materials will be available by Labor Day--bags, gloves, tally cards. If we encounter oil soaked items, we can mark those for others to handle. The is NOT water cleanup (oil related), just coastal debris.
The Picnic lunch will be at the Community Center starting about 11:30. Hot dogs, Soda, Adult Beverages, T-shirts, Car Wash Certificates, Badges, and Decals will be distributed at the picnic. This is part of an international cleanup day and Alabama is the only state to have all the clean up and hand out materials and even the Hot Dogs provided by corporate sponsors.
